Who is responsible for your data
Hyperdata operates Rentaer (rentaer.com) and is the data controller for the account, service communications and technical data it processes to run the service. Contact Hyperdata about privacy at info@rentaer.com. When you enter personal data about tenants or other contacts, you are responsible for having the right to do so; Hyperdata processes those records on your behalf to provide Rentaer.
What we collect
Account data (name, email, language and currency preferences), data you enter about properties, tenants, payments and interventions, rental requests and offers including contact details and attachments, and basic technical data needed to run the service.
How we use it
To provide the service, send service emails (such as request confirmations, offer notifications and rent reminders), keep the service secure, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.
Legal basis for processing
We process account details and the records you provide to perform our contract with you, including providing the service and sending necessary service emails. We process technical and usage data for our legitimate interests in maintaining a reliable service and preventing abuse and fraud, balanced against your rights. Where required, we process data to comply with legal obligations. Any optional marketing or non-essential tracking will rely on your consent where required, which you can withdraw at any time.
Sharing
Data is shared with providers that help us run Rentaer (hosting and email delivery) and with Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for sales, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing. We may also share data with professional legal or accounting advisers and authorities where required by law. Public rental request pages never show the requester's email or phone number.
Retention
We keep data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can delete records at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account. After data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it, except where limited retention is necessary for legal obligations, resolving disputes or security. Backup copies may remain until they are replaced in the normal backup cycle.
Security
Hyperdata uses appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections, authenticated access and access controls that restrict records to authorised users. Access by service providers is limited to what is needed to operate the service. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Cookies and browser storage
Rentaer uses essential cookies and browser storage for sign-in, return navigation and security. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our Cookie settings page (/cookies) explains this storage and Paddle's checkout cookies. If we introduce non-essential cookies requiring consent, we will ask for it before using them and provide a way to manage your preferences.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion or export of your personal data, or object to its processing, by writing to info@rentaer.com.
